Police shoot knife-wielding man in large town

Police officers shot a disturbed man in Dronten on Monday morning. Officers responded to a report of someone walking about Saturnusweg waving a knife and fired on the suspect when he threatened the officers, according to the police. The suspect was wounded and taken to the hospital. The police are performing an investigation on the street. Local residents told Omroep Flevoland journalist that several shots were fired. The suspects condition is unknown.
