Police: Mother suspected of killing baby

The police have arrested the mother of a nine month old baby following large-scale investigation initiated by doctors questioning the baby’s cause of death. The police arrested the 22-year-old female suspect on Tuesday, October 27 in Papendrecht. Police received a message on October 5, around 23:00, about a sick baby in a house in Papendrecht. The baby girl died the following morning. Further investigation has led police to believe that baby was murdered. The investigation is still on-going. The baby’s mother will be brought in front of the magistrate on Friday.
