Video: Man without train ticket avoids fine with 10 pushups

A young man avoided a 35 euro fine for traveling without a ticket on Friday night by doing 10 push ups. It seems that the young man, who was traveling between Zwolle and Emmen, had forgotten to check in. The conductor offered him a choice: a fine or 10 push ups. The young man opted for the push ups. And was applauded by his fellow passengers when he was done. Another passenger filmed the incident and posted it on Facebook. The post has been viewed almost 100 thousand times and has received many positive comments. According to transporter Arriva, most people appreciated the playful solution. "The steward is very competent and responded to what the situation was at that time. That should be allowed." Arriva said in a comment to RTV Oost.
