One wounded in Utrecht shooting, 2 arrested

One man was injured in a shooting in Utrecht on Sunday night. Two suspects have been arrested. The police received a report of shots fired in the area of Trumanlaan and Bevinlaan around 9:30 p.m. Two cars were seen fleeing the scene. Some time later a wounded man checked himself in at a hospital, he was treated from his injuries. The police noticed one of the cars that were seen driving away from the crime scene on AC Verhoefweg in Nieuwegein. The car was stopped and two men were arrested on suspicion of involvement in the shooting incident. The police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting and the involvement of the arrested suspects.
