Amsterdam blocks football fans chanting anti-semitic slogans

A group of Cambuur fans were banned from watching the Ajax versus Cambuur match in the Amsterdam Arena on Sunday. Mayor Eberhard van der Laan sent a whole bus full of fans back home to Leeuwarden for chanting antisemitic slogans. According to RTL, a total of 350 fans came to Amsterdam from Leeuwarden in 8 buses on Sunday. But one of the buses, carrying 50 fans, was sent back home after the municipality of Amsterdam heard the antisemitic slogans they were chanting. The other 7 buses were allowed to continue and the fans could watch the match. An official report was filed against the offending supporters. Justice will decide at a later stage whether they will be facing any other consequences.
