Another Muslim leader concerns some in Netherlands

The arrival of a Muslim leader in the Netherlands has once again caused concerns. Aaidh al-Qarni from Saudi Arabia has been invited by the Waqf foundation to speak at a conference in Eindhoven on Thursday. According to Omroep Brabant, the sheikh is regarded as controversial because of his statements on the jihad. In speeches published on the internet he makes statements like "heads and throats of apostates from Islam must be severed" and "Jews and their helpers must be destroyed". "He has a visa and therefore is allowed to travel through Europe and stay in the Netherlands. We would not cooperate with him if he was not allowed to enter the Netherlands." El Damanhoury, director of the Waqf foundation said to Omroep Brabant. "We are completely transparent. For the attendees, the lecture will be translated into Dutch and the lecture can be followed on the website in Arabic and Dutch." The factions of the LPF, VVD, CDA and Ouderenappel have asked council questions about al-Qarni's arrival. All of them have reservations about his upcoming speech and wants to know from the mayor and aldermen what they are going to do to prevent it.
