The 3-year-old was suffering from a medulloblastoma, a malicious brain tumor and was only given a short time to live when her parents started a campaign to get as many postcards as possible. “People want to do so much, but there’s no options left. She loves to unwrap cards and packages and she can still do that,” said her father Edwin earlier this month. The parents expected the girl to receive a few bags, but they were pleasantly surprised by the compassion their daughter and the rest of the family received from all over the world. Mom Monique said there were still cards coming in on Thursday. “We even got one from China, with a Chinese text on it.” She said Isa tried to open packages down to the end. The family has opened an online condolence register for the girl.
