Suriname stops ISIS suspect headed to Netherlands

A 16 year old Jamaican boy was detained in the South American country of Suriname on Saturday. He is suspected of wanting to join terrorist organization Islamic State. A statement released by Surname's police says that the teenager was refused entry to the country after arriving at the J.A Pengel international airport in Zanderij. The police believe that he was planning on traveling to the Netherlands and then to Turkey, from where he intended to slip into Syria to join ISIS. The teen was questioned by the police intelligence service and then flown back to Jamaica. According to the Associated Press, the Jamaican Ministry of Security would not comment on the situation on Sunday.
