Amsterdam ending white heroin warnings

The Amsterdam campaign warning against a dealers selling white heroin as cocaine will be terminated in the next week, the city announced in a press release. The matrix signs in the city will be turned off, posters will be removed and no more flyers will be distributed. The immediate reason for this decision by the mayor, public prosecutor, police and the municipal health service is the arrest of the man believed to be involved in selling white heroin to three Danish tourists in February. The man turned himself in on Saturday. He was arraigned on Tuesday and the magistrate ruled that he would stay in custody for two weeks. According to the city's press release, the arrest does not guarantee that there won't be an new incidents in the future, but the risk has decreased. Another reason for ending the campaign is that there have been no new incidents in the past six weeks. The third and final reason is that a warning campaign is temporary and nature and should be used as little as possible to avoid the instrument losing its strength.
