Police releasing Rotterdam riot images

Investigative television program Bureau Rijnmond and Politie.nl are releasing pictures of Rotterdam Feyenoord fans suspected of public violence in Rome. Many of the Dutch football team's fans were implicated in riots that took place before a Europa League match against AS Roma. Video and photo evidence gathered by Italian police in Rome, and mobile phone footage submitted to the Dutch police, is due to be released for public on Thursday, March 19th. Internally, police in the Netherlands have already used the footage to identify several suspects previously known to police. Rotterdam police has been investigating the February 18th and 19th Feyenoord riots together with Italian authorities since the beginning of March. The footage from the Italians and the public has led the investigation to 15 suspects accused of different acts of violence. Police and prosecutors are now requesting public assistance in identifying the remaining suspects, and expect even more rioters to be recognized from the images.
