PM Rutte on hand as more MH17 victims' remains return

The Ministry of Security and Justice announced yesterday that a Dutch military transport aircraft, carrying more remains of victims of the disaster flight MH17, will land on Eindhoven Air Base on Friday. The transport plane is expected to land around 16:00. Prime Minister Mark Rutte, Deputy Prime Minister Lodewijk Asscher, Minister Bert Koenders of Foreign Affairs and Defense Minister Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert will be present at the arrival. According to the ministry, the same ceremony will be used as in the previous repatriations of victims. From Eindhoven the remains will be transported, under supervision of the police and military police, to Korporaal van Oudheusdenkazerne in Hilversum. There they will be identified. This is the seventh time that remains of victims are brought back to the Netherlands. The previous time was on November 8th, when the remains of five victims were returned to the Netherlands. All 298 people on board died when Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 crashed in eastern Ukraine on July 17th. 196 of the people on board were Dutch.
