One dead in Beverwijk shooting

One man died in a shooting incident on Meerstraat in Beverwijk on Wednesday night at about 20:40. The police are doing an investigation into the identity of the victim. Shortly after the shooting the police received a report of a car fire on Hofgeesterweg in Velserbroek. The police are investigating whether there is a link between the shooting and the car fire. The police did a forensic investigation at both locations.
