Efteling pancake stack breaks world record
Visitors to Efteling theme park were treated to a world record breaking pancake stack, after chefs Humphrey den Otter and John Pijnappels stacked 242 pancakes to a height of 91.2 centimeters. In the Polles Koeken, the record breaking stack was overseen by judge Femke van Es from the Guinness Book of World Records.
After two months of practice, chefs smashed the previous record within half an hour held by New York TV chef Emeril Lagasse, who recorded a height of 87.4 inches last month.
Visitors to the park, colleagues, jurors from the Guinness World Records and Little Red Riding Hood were present at the attempt.
