Air France tells pilots to get back in the air

Air France-KLM announced today that they have met the demands of striking pilots by stopping the expansion plans of subsidiary Transavia. Now they want the pilots to go back to work. The pilots have been striking for twelve days, costing Air France 20 million euro per day. The group now hopes that the pilots' feeling of responsibility will make the pilots go back to work, NRC reports. CEO Alexandre de Juniac points out that they have met the strikers' main demands by putting a stop to their expansion plans for Transavia. The pilots want Air France-KLM to also make changes in Transavia's French branch. They want Transavia France's pilots to work for the same pay and conditions as the Air France pilots in the future.
