Five ISIS protests, rallies set for Hague in September

The city of The Hague has approved requests for demonstrations on the 20th of September, and the municipality announces Thursday that The Hague's Mayor Jozias van Aartsen has consigned the five groups planning to demonstrate in the city on that day to certain locations, apart from each other, De Telegraaf reports. To prevent the demonstrations from getting out of hand, the groups have been allocated several different locations in the city which are "physically far enough away from each other", and are not in residential areas or streets, Van Aartsen writes in a letter to the demonstrating groups. In August, the Mayor banned all demonstrations in residential areas. The Mayor says that these measures have been taken to "ensure the safety of the participants of the different demonstrations and the regular public in the direct surroundings, and to limit the risk of irregularities and traffic issues." The five groups who have been approved for demonstration on the 20th of September, which are left over from the seven who originally announced wishes to rally, are ProPatria, the extreme-right Netherlands Folk Union (NVU), the extreme-left Anti-Fascist Action (AFA), the Muslim Defense League, and the IAVVS, a group from the Dutch website GeenStijl, which demonstrates against vertical filming with camera phones. ProPatria on Thursday announced that they do not agree with the municipality's decision, and will go to the judge, NU.nl reports. They want to march through the Schilderswijk and Transvaal. The NVU also wants to demonstrate in the Schilderswijk, and will also go to the judge. In Utrecht, groups will also demonstrate on the 20th of September, in protest of intolerance and Racism, according to NU.nl. The city streets will be the site of a big street rave with members of the so-called Party for Freedom.
