Soldiers needed in Ebola fight: Doctors without Borders

The Dutch branch of Doctors Without Borders in those West African countries where Ebola has broken out are now asking for military aid from The Netherlands. A spokesperson made the plea on BNR, and according to De Telegraaf, the military union VBM is positive about the possibility. The plea to send medically-trained soldiers to West Africa shows how desperate the situation is, president of VBM Jean Debie tells BNR. The call comes after the international direction of Doctors Without Borders asked the United Nations for a military mission to the Ebola areas in Africa. Debie says that it will be fairly easy to train and deploy soldiers with military and medical experience.
