Couple busted for sex in 30-meter crane

A couple in Tilburg literally went above all to show each other affection Sunday morning. The two climbed up a 30-meter crane where they apparently had sex.

Officers were called to a construction site at Bisschop Janssensstraat at about 6:30 a.m. following reports of unlawful entry, a police spokesman said in a statement. When they reached there they saw a man and a woman in the cabin of the crane, up in the air.

When they saw the officers, the couple climbed down on their own accord. The police officers realized found that the couple were heavily intoxicated. “It’s a small wonder that they made it down in one piece,” police said.

The couple seemed to think it had been their finest moment and that their getaway had been well worth the effort and danger. “(At least) we were willing to go the extra mile for some romance,” officers overheard them saying to each other.

Authorities were not impressed. The man was cited for not having identification, and officers reported the duo for unlawful entry as they ignored a "No Trespassing" sign.

Now the drunk, high-flying romantics face a sobering date with a judge.
