Man, 73, breaks hip in neighborhood assault
Police in Eindhoven arrested a 53-year-old man Tuesday afternoon in relation to a case of assault in which a 73-year-old man from the same neighborhood broke his hip.
The man was arrested half an hour after the incident in question, and is in custody at the police station.
According to the police report, the victim and suspect knew each other from the neighborhood. At around 4 in the afternoon on Tuesday, the 73-year-old victim was walking to his home in Woensel-Zuid in Eindhoven when a neighborhood acquaintance started screaming at him.
The victim was then pushed. He fell on the floor and broke his hip, which caused him to have to be taken to hospital.
The police were called, and arrested the 53-year-old suspect half an hour later. He is in custody pending an investigation.
