Canine team finds little in Panama search

The search efforts by the team that traveled to Panama in hopes of finding traces of Lisanne Froon and Kris Kremers, have so far not turned up much.

Telegraaf newspaper reports today that the team of volunteers and sniffer dogs of Dutch rescue group Stichting Reddingshonden RHWW are nonetheless staying positive. They say they are only meeting cooperation from the local communities in Boquette. “The residents have no problem with us walking around here with the dogs; often they even allow us to look inside their hosues. No problem,” a report on the RHWW website states. The team -12 dogs and 18 rescue workers- left for Panama on May 26 to aid in the search for Froon (22) and Kremers (21). The girls reportedly went missing on April 1 in Boquete, Chiriqui province, after setting out on a hike. The rescue dogs workers and works started their search last Saturday, focusing initially on the houses in the city. They did not search on Sunday, as that is a day of rest.
