Van Gaal: Oranje will not suffer from Man. U hiring

Louis van Gaal is to be the new trainer for England football club Manchester United. He will have to juggle his new position with that of his other trainer position, with Oranje at the World Cup. "I am proud, of course. Manchester United hasn't had a good season regarding accomplishments, but it is the biggest club in the world in revenues, turnover", Van Gaal tells the Algemeen Dagblad. He has signed on for three years, at which point he will turn 65 years old. The announcement was made on Monday, the last free day before the training camp with the Dutch national team in Portugal. Van Gaal will be the first mainland trainer for Man U. According to the AD, he wanted to tackle the assignment with Danny Blind, with Ryan Giggs as third man, but Blind already gave his word to the KNVB a few months ago. Van Gaal will be joined by Marcel Bout, as well as Frans Hoek as trainer for keeper. He will not say what players he is thinking of buying. "It is true that I can build something, but it is also about the fact that you preserve the identity of the club in a selection." "Oranje will not suffer under this step. I am hugely motivated for the World Cup. And after that, straight on to the next, yes. Usually I always take a sabbatical after a task, but now I don't need vacation", Van Gaal says.
