Drinking game lands trio in hospital

Three girls from Volendam were brought to hospital in the weekend after a drinking game got out of hand. The girls became unconscious due to over-consumption of alcohol in a short period of time. The girls are between 13 and 15 years of age, according to the Noordhollands Dagblad. The drinking game took place at a party, where copious amounts of alcohol were available. A boy who was also present says that it was getting very heavy at a certain point. "Whole bottles were poured into one can and this was then drunk with straws." Mayors and aldermen from Edam-Voldendam are announcing that they are shocked by the incident, and find it "rather regrettable", de Telegraaf reports.
