Extra funds for tailored education

The proposed cut-back on tailored education of €21 million is no longer going through. On top of that, €29 million is going to come in to improve tailored education. Minister for Education, Jet Bussemaker (PvdA), has introduced measures in which €600 million has been made available to help towards improving the quality of education, de Gelderlander reports.

The minister wrote this in a letter to the House of Parliament. Cabinet discussions with coalition-supporting parties have ensured that Bussemaker received this money for education. The money will go towards schools to be able to employ class assistants and supervisors, and also to improve teachers' knowledge of ict.
