Two dead in train accident, Rotterdam Zuid

Two people ended up under a train on the NS-station Rotterdam Zuid on Sunday evening. Both victims were killed by the collision. The police are as yet still unsure what exactly happened. The train that ran over the two people was carrying around 300 passengers. Another train was brought in to let the passengers travel on. Train traffic was at a standstill after the incident, but at around 9:30 p.m., the lines were open again between Dordrecht and Rotterdam Centraal. Police at first reported that the collision happened in the area of De Kuip football stadium. The stadium is one station further.
