1,200kg Heroin discovered in tomato paste

Customs officers found 2,600lbs. of heroine, Thursday, during a check of two trucks in Venlo, with the help of a sniffer dog. The heroine was hidden in part of the cargo, that existed of 1,720 cartons with 12 cans of tomato paste each. tomato paste and heroine
Rijksoverheid.nl Some of the cans contained heroin instead of tomato paste. The heroine, with a street value of 21.5 million euros, was seized and will be further investigated by the police. The cargo was transported to a safe location. The drivers (25 and 26, from Turkey), were arrested by the customs officers and handed over to the police. They will appear before the magistrate next week. Officers from both customs and police force had to inspect all the cans.
