Eurovision beats the King

The Eurovision Song Contest finale is the best viewed program of 2013, with almost five million viewers. The festival is closely followed by the inauguration of King William Alexander. Channels of the public broadcast recorded less viewers in the past year, and newcomer Fox attracted 75,000 Dutch viewers. This is evidenced by statistics from the Audience Research Foundation (SKO) over the past television year. With 3 hours and 15 minutes, Dutch watched approximately one minute less TV last year than the year before. On the other hand, more programs were watches using internet streams. Anouk at a press conference before the Eurovision Song Contest 2013

'Goede Tijden, Slechte Tijden' takes second place, and Theo Maassen's New Year's Eve performance, 'Einde Oefening,' landed on the third place. The number of people that watched a program later than it was broadcasted increased from 3.2 percent to 4.5 percent. 'Wie is de Mol?' is the most postponed program, viewed at a later time; almost 770,000 Dutch viewed it at a later time, 2.8 million viewers viewed the actual broadcast. Net5 programs are most viewed on the internet with almost 9 percent. The talent show 'The Voice' is in the top 25 most watched programs of 2013 five times, as well as the NOS News. The total number of viewers increased between 2012 and 2013 with five thousand.
