AerCap buys AIG’s aircraft leasing business

Dutch company AerCap Holdings NV has signed an agreement to acquire a 100% stake in International Lease Finance Corp. (ILFC) from American International Group (AIG) for about $5.4 billion. Regent Airways / Wikipedia The transaction includes $3.0 billion of cash and 97,560,976 newly issued AerCap common shares, AIG said in a statement. The deal is expected to close in the second quarter of 2014.
