Arjen Robben out for 2013

Arjen Robben will be out of commission for the remainder of 2013. The Bayern Munich player will not be able to play for at least 4 weeks due to a flesh wound he sustained Wednesday in the German Cup.The injury involves some torn ligaments and an indentation in the bone in the knee. He will not be able to play again before the winter stop, according to Hans Robben, father and agent of Arjen. The flesh wound and the torn ligament were operated, but the indentation is a bigger problem, according to Hans Robben. It retains moisture, and is very painful for Arjen. He will need time to recover. Arjen_Robben

Wikimedia commons Arjen Robben had to abandon the match Wednesday, shortly after his goal against Augsburg, after a hefty collision with Marwin Hitz, the goalkeeper of Augsburg. At first it seemed as if the Orange International had only suffered a deep wound, but research in a Bavarian hospital revealed that the ligaments in the knee are damaged. Shortly before the offense the "Oranje" International had managed to put his team ahead. Bayern won the game 2-0. Arjen Robben will miss the final matches (league and Champions League) of Bayern before the winter stop, as well as the World Cup for club teams in Morocco , which starts on December 21.
