Vodafone NL to launch mobile credit card

International Card Services (ICS) and Vodafone Netherlands have joined forces to launch a mobile credit card in mid-2014 to support contactless payments by smartphone, Telecom Paper reports. Mobile Shopping / Flickermobile Under the agreement signed between two companies, a Visa World Card will be issued by ICS, which will form part of the Vodafone Wallet, a virtual wallet for smartphones to use for NFC payments. The companies are developing a service for Visa World Card holders with a Vodafone subscription to make mobile payments with the card. The Vodafone wallet works over an app installed on the phone and the NFC antenna on the phone, the paper said.
