Joran van der Sloot wants new trial
The Dutchman Joran van der Sloot, imprisoned in Peru, is challenging his deportation from Chile. The issue will be addressed by the Inter-American Court of Human Rights on November 18, reported his Peruvian lawyer in the United States, Aldo Cotrina, Friday in an interview with the Peruvian TV channel ATV +.
The Dutchmand was deported unlawfully in June 2010, because he didn't get legal assistance. The Chilean police arrested him after the Peruvian authorities issued an international arrest warrant. Van der Sloot was wanted in Peru, because the Peruvian Stephany Flores was found dead in his hotel room.
