The storm has passed
The severe autumn storm that moved over The Netherlands this morning and early afternoon has passed. The code red weather alarm has now also been withdrawn for the northern provinces. Code yellow for dangerous weather is still in effect for all provinces except Limburg.The problems caused by the strong winds are not over. Especially train traffic is still experiencing severe disruptions. The traffic to and from Amsterdam is still obstructed. Train traffic in the north is also still largely out of commission.

The fire department in Amsterdam also advises residents to stay in. Many trees are still unstable. On the Herengracht a woman died this morning when she was hit by a falling tree.
