Bus Activities Oad Continue

The Oad bus company, which is part of the past week bankrupted Oad Group, is going to make a restart. That was announced by a spokesman of the curators on Sunday. Also SRC Culture Holidays, part of the Oad Group, gets a second life. The curators Daniels and Stekelenburg have in principle agreed on a restart of all bus activities by former director Frans Schuitemaker of Oad bus company. He will be supported by an investment company. This means that the continuation of all bus activities of Oad are secured, the spokesman said. Not everybody can go over to the new organization but 200 jobs will not be lost. The Oad bus company is the first part of the bankrupt Oad Group that makes a restart. The curators and Schuitemaker expect that all exact details will be known within a few days. Oad Group - wikipedia Cultural holidays The part in of Oad in Groningen which is specialized in cultural holidays, will be taken over by Wibo Anema. Anema started the company in 1983 and sold it to the ad Group in 2002. The curators Stekelenburg en Daniels have made an agreement over the weekend with Anema. This means that about 50 people can keep their job. Anema says that he will do his utmost best to get customers, who’s trips were canceled, to their holiday destination. “The customers only have to pay for the trip after receiving their money back from the SGR. Loss of jobs The Oad Group was declared bankrupt last week Wednesday. The travel group had a total of 1750 employees. Branch organization ANVR is happy with the developments at the bus company. “We are happy that 200 jobs could be saved for the branch,” announced the organization on Sunday evening. According to the spokesman it came not as a surprise. Union executive Brigitta Paas of the Union FNV Bondgenoten was also not surprised on Sunday evening. “We are happy that the 200 jobs are not lost for the branch, but we are sad that not more jobs could be saved, “ said Paas. In the coming days Paas will negotiate on the contracts of the employees with the new bus company. Fear At the Union De Unie, they have the same feeling as at FNV. It is, according to them, good news that 200 jobs have been saved but they fear for the other 1550 people who might lose their jobs. Spokesman Han ter Halle are the chances for the other parts of Oad Group less now this healthy part makes a restart. De Unie has opened a help platform for the employees of Oad where they can get answers to questions as well as support.
