Teacher Knocked Down

A 61-year-old man drove straight at a schoolteacher while she was helping children cross on De Westblaak, a big street in Rotterdam. The teacher incurred minor injuries. The 37-year-old woman was standing in front of a parking garage when the car hit her with moderate speed. The teacher managed to step aside and to push the school children away. RTL.nl reported that the police arrested the driver for aggravated assault and confiscated his car and driving-license after he left the scene. The man said he was in a hurry.
