Police break up "chaotic" house party in Utrecht with 100 teens
Police intervened late Saturday evening at a house party in the Terwijde neighborhood of Utrecht that drew between 90 and 100 youths and caused significant disruption for local residents. Witnesses described the scene as chaotic to NOS, with many attendees reportedly under the influence of alcohol or other substances.
Officers were called to a home on Jerome Kernplantsoen after reports of large crowds gathering both inside and outside the property. Police used batons and at least one police dog to disperse the crowd.
“The operation was primarily aimed at stopping the nuisance,” the spokesperson said. No arrests were officially reported, although one resident claimed to have witnessed a detention.
Several witnesses also told NOS that officers entered the house in connection with the party. Videos of the event circulated on social media, showing the crowd and police activity.
