Video: 2 minors dead in car crash after vehicle hits tree in Gorssel

Updated at 10:10 to add that all three were minors.

Two people were killed in a single-vehicle traffic accident on the provincial road N348 in Gorssel after their car ran off the road and crashed into a tree at around 12:45 a.m. Saturday. Police reported that both were minors.

According to the regional newspaper De Stentor, the car struck several trees and then ended up partially on its side on the shoulder.

A third occupant, also a minor, was taken to a hospital but is no longer in a life-threatening condition. Police are conducting forensic investigations on the road between Deventer and Zutphen.

It is unclear whether the minor at the wheel had a driver's license. In the Netherlands, teens can get their driver's license at 17, but they must drive with a supervisor.
