Three children arrested for cocaine, heroin possession in Lelystad

Police in Lelystad arrested three children for drug possession, including two 13-year-olds and a 14-year-old, authorities said Saturday.

Officers in plain clothes observed a 13-year-old handing drugs to someone in the Boswijk neighborhood on Monday. When checked, the boy was found with “deal-level quantities” of cocaine and heroin.

On Thursday, the same officers saw two children enter a “known drug house.” When they left, police found them in possession of a “large amount” of cocaine and heroin.

The three suspects will appear in court and have been referred to youth services to "prevent further delinquency," police said.
