Sunshine and summer temps from tomorrow; Thermometers could hit 35°C on Tuesday
One more day of cloud cover and some light rain, and then summer will be back in the Netherlands in full force. The weekend will have plenty of sunshine and high temperatures, which will continue to climb into next week. On Tuesday, thermometers could hit 35 degrees Celsius in the south, according to Buienradar.
On Friday, inland areas will still be very cloudy with occasional patches of light rain. But the sun will break through more and more in the afternoon. Maximums will climb to 22 degrees on the coast, 24 degrees in the central regions, and up to 26 degrees in the south and east.
Saturday and Sunday promise wonderful summer weather with abundant sunshine and maximums ranging between 22 and 27 degrees.
After the weekend, the weather will warm up rapidly. By Tuesday, thermometers will hit tropical values of 30 degrees or higher in some places. Maximums will range between 28 degrees in the north to up to 35 degrees in the south.
Wednesday will remain summery, but slightly less hot than the day before. Though high humidity will make it feel oppressively warm. On Thursday, local thunderstorms are possible.
