Man stabbed in central Amsterdam after a dispute; two arrested on Reguliersdwarsstraat

A man was stabbed and seriously injured early Saturday morning following a dispute between individuals on the Reguliersdwarsstraat in the city center. The incident occurred around 6 a.m. near a terrace, according to AT5.

Emergency services, including a trauma helicopter, responded quickly to the scene. According to police, the injured man was transported to the hospital in stable condition.

Two male suspects were arrested at the scene by responding officers. Police spokespersons confirmed that both men were taken into custody in connection with the stabbing.

The street was temporarily closed off with police tape but has since been reopened to the public. The exact cause of the altercation remains unclear. “We are investigating the motive behind the conflict, as it is still unknown,” a police spokesperson said.
