Dutch Customs seize 1,102 kilos of cocaine hidden in fruit shipment at Vlissingen port

On Wednesday, June 4, Dutch Customs discovered 1,102 kilograms of cocaine during a routine inspection at the port of Vlissingen, the Dutch Public Prosecution Service (OM) reported.

The seized cocaine has an estimated wholesale value of 27,550,000 euros. The illegal drugs were hidden in a shipment of fruit from Ecuador destined for an undisclosed company in Europe.

Authorities have already destroyed the entire quantity of narcotics following the seizure. The investigation is ongoing.
