Man arrested for attempting to enter Breda courtroom with multiple knives
A 31-year-old man from Roosendaal was arrested Friday morning after attempting to enter the courthouse in Breda with multiple knives, including at least one illegal weapon. The man was scheduled to attend a hearing as a defendant.
According to court security, the suspect arrived around 9 a.m. and proceeded through the standard security check. When his bag was scanned, security officers discovered he was carrying multiple knives. The weapons were immediately confiscated, and the police were called.
Authorities determined that among the knives was a butterfly knife, which is classified as an illegal weapon in the Netherlands. The suspect was taken into custody on charges of illegal weapon possession. It remains unclear why he was carrying the knives or what charges he was facing in court.
