Man, 23, arrested for sexually approaching children in Oud-Beijerland

The police arrested a 23-year-old man for sexually approaching children in Oud-Beijerland, a town south of Rotterdam that falls under the municipality of Hoekse Waard. In one case, the man actually sexually assaulted a child, the police said.

The police and Public Prosecution Service (OM) launched this investigation after receiving multiple reports about a man approaching children, both boys and girls.

Investigators identified the suspect and the police arrested him on Sunday. He is in custody for questioning.
