Thousands of liters of hazardous substances found at Zundert drug lab, four arrested

Thousands of liters of hazardous substances were found at a drug lab discovered by the police on Friday evening in Zundert, Brabant. These could pose a threat to the environment, the police reported. The substance is being safely removed.

The cocaine laundry was located on the Achtmaalseweg, on the outskirts of Zundert. There was a strong chemical smell around the warehouse, where smuggled cocaine was prepared for use, according to RTL Nieuws.

After an anonymous report, the police went to the scene. The lab was in full operation at the time of the raid.

Four suspects have been arrested in the course of the police operation: three men of no fixed abode (aged 56, 60, and 69) and a 59-year-old man from Spain. Two suspects were arrested immediately. The other perpetrators ran away and hid in the warehouse for hours on Friday evening, Omroep West reported.
