Police profile photos stolen in massive hack affecting all officers

It is possible that photos or images used in police business cards were stolen in the recent hack of the police system. It is not 100 percent certain, and it would only be the case with a section of the police officers, the police reported on Wednesday.

Chief of Police Janny Knol has already informed the police officers. Earlier this month, it was already reported that it is very likely another country is responsible for the police hack. This was stated by the intelligence and security services. Contact details were stolen, including names, email addresses, and telephone numbers.

The country that may be behind the hack has not been named. The intelligence services AIVD and MIVD have been warning for some time about cyber attacks from other countries, such as China, Iran, and Russia.
