Noord-Holland woman attacked by a bull in “life-threatening” condition

A woman in Wijdewormer, North Holland, was seriously injured by an aggressive bull on Friday, according to a police report shared on Facebook on Saturday. Police stated that the bull inflicted "life-threatening injuries" on the woman.

The incident occurred on private property along Jisperdijk. Following the attack, the bull continued to act aggressively toward bystanders, making it unsafe for first responders to reach the woman.

Multiple hunters arrived on the scene to prepare to shoot the animal if needed. This was not necessary, and the bull was captured "with all possible effort," police said. The animal was tranquilized twice by a veterinarian.

The severely-injured woman was rushed to the hospital, but an update on her condition was not released on Saturday afternoon.
