KNVB will decide on Vitesse's professional license on Saturday
Vitesse will receive clarity from the KNVB on Saturday about its professional license for the upcoming football season. The KNVB’s licensing appeals committee still has questions about one part of the documents that the club has provided. It concerns a change in the agreement with the Common Group, the party that is taking over the shares of the Arnhem club.
The KNVB licensing committee made this announcement on Friday. Vitesse is fighting for its existence and is waiting for a decision from the KNVB regarding the professional license. It may be revoked if Vitesse does not meet the conditions. Last week, it still had a budget deficit of 6 million euros.
“This morning, the KNVB licensing appeals committee had an enlightening conversation with Vitesse and the KNVB licensing committee. The documents that Vitesse provided on July 31 were discussed. The appeals committee informed Vitesse that it has until tomorrow, August 3, 12:00 p.m. to provide written clarity on one part of the provided documents.”
The appeals committee will make a final decision this weekend.
