Man injured in stabbing in Groningen; house closed in Amsterdam after explosions
A 28-year-old man was injured in a stabbing on the Vrydemalaan in Groningen on Friday evening. The resident was taken to a hospital with unknown injuries. The police have arrested a 39-year-old woman from Groningen on Saturday afternoon.
The incident took place around 11 p.m. on Friday. Shortly after the attack, the suspect was arrested, the police reported. The police quickly arrived on the scene and arrested a suspect shortly afterwards.
The police started an investigation and spoke to several witnesses. Later, the suspect was arrested. "She will be interrogated and her involvement in the stabbing incident is being investigated," police said on Saturday.
According to Meternieuws.nl, the police also provided help to an injured dog involved in the stabbing incident.
House closed in Amsterdam after series of explosions
A house on the Elzenhagensingel in Amsterdam-Noord has been closed for three months by order of the mayor. The municipality reported on Saturday that the house has been "repeatedly the target of violent incidents" in three months. A fire was set, and there was an explosion.
"This has a major impact on the neighborhood. The police findings show that there is a risk of recurrence," the municipality said. "To immediately restore public order and prevent a recurrence, the house is immediately closed for three months."
There was an explosion at the house last Wednesday night. Residents were startled by a loud bang, and a fire broke out at the front door of an apartment. No one was injured in the incident.
