Partly cloudy, but dry Ascension Day; Temps up to 21 degrees
Ascension Day in the Netherlands will be a mix of sun and clouds once some morning fog dissipates, according to Weeronline. Afternoon temperatures will climb to between 15 and 21 degrees. The long weekend will be increasingly sunnier with higher temperatures.
This afternoon will be dry everywhere with a mix of clouds and sun and a weak to moderate wind from the west. Inland will see the least amount of sunshine. Thermometers will climb to 17 or 18 degrees in the coastal areas to locally 21 degrees in Limburg. “Wonderful spring weather in most places, but near the sea can be a lot cooler,” Weeronline said.
The weather will be a bit more disappointing on the beaches, today and throughout the weekend. “The coast and the Wadden Islands are particularly sensitive to fog or low clouds from the sea. It is a lot chillier here than in the rest of the country.” Beaches may see temperatures rising no higher than 12 degrees during the afternoon.
Friday will have lovely outside weather, with more room for sunshine and maximums between 17 and 22 degrees. The partially sunny weather and temperature increases will continue on the weekend days. Weeronline expects maximums between 20 and 24 degrees on Saturday. Sunday will be the warmest day of the week, with thermometers rising to 25 degrees in the southeast.
