Two people killed in traffic accident near Stadskanaal

Two people have been killed in a traffic accident on the N366 near Vledderveen in Drenthe. The victims were a 41-year-old man from Barendrecht and a 33-year-old man from Stadskanaal. According to the police, the accident occurred at around 6.55 p.m. on Friday.

In the fatal accident, the two vehicles collided on the N366. One of the vehicles drove into an adjacent ditch. The emergency services were alerted and the road was closed. The drivers of both vehicles suffered serious injuries but help was of no avail and the two men died on the spot. According to the police, there were no other people in the vehicles.

The police are investigating the accident and are looking for witnesses.
