Ready for a Dutch Spring? Kickstart your Dutch at NedLes!

Have you been postponing learning Dutch? You’re not the only one. Many people spend years thinking about learning Dutch, while struggling to get started. With the unique and effective Delft Method courses at NedLes you can easily accelerate the process.

At the end of March, NedLes is offering the possibility to kickstart your Dutch with an intensive 2-week course. After just two weeks, you’ll be close to the level needed for the Civic Integration exam!

Your first weeks of Spring could look like this:

This special 2-week full time beginners course at NedLes allows you to dive into the language and fully focus on learning Dutch. For five days a week, you’ll have classes that focus on speaking twice per day for an hour each lesson in the beautiful and recently renovated school building in Amsterdam-Oost.

The rest of the day, you’ll study texts and new vocabulary in the school’s canteen, in one of the many cafés nearby or in the Oosterpark, just around the corner.

A unique and effective method

During the course, you’ll learn Dutch with the Delft Method. The Delft Method was developed at Delft University originally to prepare technical engineers for their studies and work in Dutch. The method consists of studying texts and vocabulary at home and 1-hour classes focused on speaking and conversation. NedLes has been offering courses with the Delft Method for over three years now, and the results speak for themselves.

At the moment, the courses with the Delft Method are by far the most popular. Every week, several new courses start at different levels and intensities.

Speaking Dutch from day one might sound intimidating, but thanks to NedLes’ positive and patient teachers, it doesn’t need to be. All of the teachers are experienced and encouraging, and they know how to create a safe and stimulating environment for you to feel comfortable enough to speak.

These 2 weeks will be hard work, but your hard work will definitely pay off. This course is like a Dutch Bootcamp; where others need months or even years to reach A2-level, you’ll be close to that level in just two weeks. After this Dutch kickstart, you can decide if you want to continue learning Dutch at this intensity, or if you want to take it a bit slower.

What students say

David, a translator from Scotland and former student, is a big fan of the Delft Method. “I know it takes time to learn a new language. Knowing the words and the rules is not enough; you have to practice. That’s exactly what you do in this course: studying at home and practicing speaking in class.”

For Tanmay, a software developer from India, the biggest change was visible during his daily walks with his dog. “When I walked the dog, other dog owners often started chatting, but I had to switch to English right away. After taking the course, I can answer them in Dutch and speak with them for at least a couple of minutes.”

Gilles, from France, loved the classes he took but underlines that the Delft Method is not some magic trick. “You still have to invest time. You have to prepare for the class, go to class, and practice after class. But if you do that, it is definitely possible to build a solid basis in Dutch within a couple of weeks.”

Ready for a Dutch Spring and ready to kickstart your Dutch? Join the 2-week full-time intensive course with the Delft Method at NedLes!
