The fight broke out after two cafés closed their doors, police reported. The cause behind the violent incident has not yet been established. According to an eyewitness, the groups also used bats to attack each other.

By the time, police arrived the fighting had stopped. Authorities asked the group to leave but they refused. At least 24 officers were needed to bring the situation under control.

"Agents drew their batons and formed lines", a police spokesperson said. "Multiple juveniles have been checked. Their details have noted. We also issued a fine for public intoxication to the aggressor of the group who turned against the police." No arrests were made, according to Omroep Brabant.
