Most NL residents don't care about Black Friday

The vast majority of Netherlands residents will not be hunting for massive discounts on Black Friday today, according to a representative survey among over 3,500 Dutch by Hart van Nederland. 74 percent said that they will not be participating in Black Friday.

One respondent said that "Black Friday in the Netherlands makes no sense". Another said that the Netherlands doesn't understand the American bargain hunt correctly.

"A 10 to 20 percent discount is not the same." Another advised checking prices two weeks before Black Friday to make sure you're really getting a discount.

About 23 percent said that they will be shopping on Black Friday - 15 percent online only, including three percent on the high streets and shopping centers, and five percent will do a combination of the in person and online shopping.
